Forget Superman – This High-Flier Could Really Save Your Life

Mar 8, 2016

When a health emergency strikes, you want every option available for you and your family.

That’s why IBEW Local Union 1141 is offering an innovative new health care option for members and their loved ones.

Through the AirMedCare Network, Local 1141 Brothers and Sisters can take advantage of a service offering helicopter-aided rescue in the event that a member or their family needs to be evacuated by air to the nearest medical facility.

The coverage helps ensure that members will incur no out-of-pocket flight expenses, provided they utilize service within the AirMedCare Network. Coverage starts at $55 per year for a member and his or her family.

“We are pleased with the strong health care plan that we already offer to our hard working members, retirees and their families,” said IBEW Local 1141 Business Manager Dewayne Wilcox. “This is just one way we can help go the extra mile, should the unthinkable happen.”

Representatives of AirMedCare gave a demonstration to Local 1141 members and their families at the union hall on March 4 just before the regular monthly union meeting.
