Do you have some experience in the trade?
IBEW 1141 endeavors to put all workers in the electrical industry to work for our contractors, as we are able.
We have alternate classifications for members who aren’t yet Journeymen and who are not enrolled in the JATC apprenticeship program.
Get in touch with us in one of the following ways:
1: If you live reasonably close to the greater OKC area, contact Organizer Allen Bresemann by phone or text now.
2: If you are in the Lawton area, or in a location near Pauls Valley or south of that region, please contact Organizer Steven Wicker by phone or text.
3: If you’d like more information on the current job picture, in our jurisdiction as well in as the surrounding states, contact Dispatcher Marcus Harlan via phone or text now.
4: If you’d instead like us to reach out to you, click here to fill out a short call-back form.
Note: You will need to provide the number of hours you have in the field. Make sure the hours on your CIB card reflect everything you’ve done so far. Also, if you have 5,000 hours or more, you can take a hands-on skills assessment so we can make sure we slot you in at the correct wage and benefit rates for your skills.
Are you interested in Apprenticeship?
In Central Oklahoma, electrical training is provided by the electrical training ALLIANCE of Western Oklahoma. Our goal is to provide the Electrical Construction Industry with the most highly trained and skilled workforce possible. While direct training occurs through local training programs, the electrical training ALLIANCE develops enhanced education standards to meet the competitive challenges of today’s global market economy.
In addition to receiving skill training on the job, each apprentice is provided with trade-related classroom training that produces competency and pride that lead to true craftsmanship. Quite often, local training committees provide special classes with hands-on training to support classroom lectures and discussions.
You can reach the electrical training ALLIANCE of Western Oklahoma at 405-672-7600. For more information, visit them online at www.ETAWOK.org
